Genesis 6:5
The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time

God is the one who has given us eyes to see.

He has given us reason, wisdom, the ability to think, plan, and choose—our mind, heart, and will.

In Noah's time, God looked into the thoughts and plans of every person.

Except for Noah alone, He saw that their thoughts… their plans… were entirely focused on their fleshly desires.

Seeing that they were only flesh, He determined to judge the whole world with a flood.

The same God lives today, watching over the thoughts and plans of every heart in the world.

He sees the very core of my heart, examining my mind and testing my innermost thoughts.

What would God say if He were to look into the heart of each one of us?

Enoch, in the midst of his daily life, walked with God and received a testimony that he pleased God.

When the motivation behind our thoughts, words, and actions is for God’s glory and His holy will, God will take delight in me personally, in no one else but me.

And just as He dealt with Noah and Enoch, He will do the same for each of us, guiding our lives on the most blessed path.

A day of grace has begun.

Today, as we read, listen to, and meditate carefully on God’s word, may we live with our hearts set only on God’s glory and His holy will, under the gaze of the One who sees the center of our hearts.

I pray that today will be a blessed day for you.
