마 5:10

(마 5:10)
의를 위하여 핍박을 받은 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 저희 것임이라
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

우리는 보통
잘 풀릴 때 하나님이 함께하신다고 느낍니다.

We usually feel that God is with us when things are going well.

인정받고, 환영받고, 길이 열릴 때
“하나님이 역사하신다”고 말합니다.

 

When we are recognized, welcomed, and doors are opened,
we say, “God is at work.”

그러나 예수님은
전혀 다른 자리에서
복을 선언하십니다.

But Jesus declares blessing
from a completely different place.

“의를 위하여 핍박을 받은 자는 복이 있나니
천국이 저희 것임이요.”

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

이 말씀은
고난을 미화하라는 말이 아닙니다.

This statement is not meant to glorify suffering.

아픔을 참고 견디라는 도덕적 요구도 아닙니다.

Nor is it a moral demand to simply endure pain.

이 말씀은
지금 내가 어디에 속해 있는지를 보여 주는 표지입니다.

Rather, this word shows where I truly belong right now.

의를 따라 살기 시작했을 때,
하나님의 뜻을 기준으로 선택했을 때,
하나님의 방식이 내 삶의 방향이 되었을 때—

When we begin to live according to righteousness,
when we choose based on God’s will,
when God’s way becomes the direction of our lives—

세상은 더 이상 편안한 공간이 되지 않습니다.

the world no longer feels like a comfortable place.

이상하게도,
틀린 말을 하지 않았는데 오해를 받고,
악을 행하지 않았는데 배척을 당하고,
양보했는데 손해를 보는 일이 생깁니다.

Strangely enough,
we are misunderstood without speaking falsely,
rejected without doing evil,
and suffer loss even when we choose to yield.

그때 우리는 묻게 됩니다.

 

At that moment, we begin to ask—

“내가 뭘 잘못한 걸까?”
“왜 이렇게 불편해졌을까?”

“What did I do wrong?”
“Why has everything become so uncomfortable?”

그러나 예수님은
그 질문을 이렇게 바꾸어 주십니다.

But Jesus reframes the question for us.

“너는 지금 누구의 편에 서 있는가?”

“Whose side are you standing on right now?”

의를 위하여 받는 핍박은
신앙의 실패가 아니라,
하나님의 통치가
실제 삶 속에 스며들었다는 증거입니다.

Persecution for righteousness
is not a failure of faith,
but evidence that God’s reign
has entered into real life.

왕국의 가치는
언제나 세상의 가치와 충돌합니다.

The values of the Kingdom
always collide with the values of the world.

그래서 왕국 백성은
이 땅에서 늘 조금 어색한 존재로 살아갑니다.

That is why citizens of the Kingdom
always live as slightly out-of-place people on this earth.

그러나 예수님은
그 어색함을 실패라 부르지 않으십니다.

But Jesus does not call that awkwardness a failure.

오히려 그 자리에서
가장 강한 선언을 하십니다.

Instead, from that very place,
He makes His strongest declaration.

“천국이 저희 것임이요.”

“For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

이 말씀은
장차 받을 보상이 아니라,
이미 확정된 소속의 선언입니다.

This is not a promise of a future reward,
but a declaration of an already-secured belonging.

지금의 배척은
천국에서 밀려났다는 증거가 아니라,
이미 천국에 속해 있다는 표시입니다.

Present rejection is not evidence
that we have been excluded from heaven,
but a sign that we already belong to it.

그래서 핍박은
우리를 버리셨다는 신호가 아니라,
우리를 왕국의 백성으로 인정하신 흔적입니다.

Therefore, persecution is not a sign of abandonment,
but a mark that God has recognized us
as citizens of His Kingdom.

오늘,
불편해진 관계가 있다면
조용히 돌아봅니다.

Today, if there is a relationship that has become uncomfortable,
we quietly reflect.

그 불편함이
내 고집 때문인지,
아니면 하나님의 뜻을 따르려는 선택 때문인지.

Is that discomfort due to my own stubbornness,
or because I chose to follow God’s will?

만일 그것이
의를 위한 선택의 결과라면,
예수님은 이미 말씀하셨습니다.

If it is the result of choosing righteousness,
Jesus has already spoken.

“너는 잘못된 길에 있는 것이 아니라,
내 왕국에 속해 있다.”

“You are not on the wrong path—
you belong to My Kingdom.”

그 사실 하나면
오늘의 외로움은
견딜 수 있는 무게가 됩니다.

That one truth alone
makes today’s loneliness
a bearable weight.

천국은
언젠가 가게 될 장소이기 이전에,
지금 내가 속한 나라입니다.

Heaven is not merely a place we will go someday;
it is the kingdom to which we belong right now.

그리고 그 소속은
가장 분명하게
핍박의 자리에서
드러납니다.

And that belonging
is revealed most clearly
in moments of persecution.

주의 이름으로
축복하고 축복하며 축복합니다!
